Cell Phones and Mobile Devices
Out of courtesy to our speakers and attendees, we require that all cell phones and mobile devices be turned off during sessions and meetings.
To ensure their safety, children are not permitted in session rooms, the Exhibit Hall, or the poster area. SETAC does not provide child-care services during the Annual Meeting. We suggest you contact the concierge desk at your hotel if you want to arrange child care.
To maintain a high standard of environmental awareness and compliance, this annual meeting is designated non-smoking. To the best of our ability, recycled and recyclable food-and-beverage containers will be used, with segregated refuse containers readily available. Event food and beverage menus will offer alternatives for health and dietary preference where possible. Paper and cardboard will be collected and recycled.
The Wi-Fi Zone offers you the opportunity, throughout the convention center, to go online with your own laptop. SETAC is not responsible for any damages or loss of data caused by accessing this connection. (Printing capabilities will not be provided.) Viewing web sites that are controversial or in questionable taste is strictly prohibited. Such use could cause you to lose your Wi-Fi Zone privileges. Please limit your use to 5 minutes per session.
Recording, Photographing, Interviewing Not Allowed
No attendee at a SETAC annual meeting may record, film, tape, photograph, interview, or use any other such media during any presentation, display, or exhibit without the express, advance approval of the Executive Director of SETAC North America. This policy applies to all SETAC members, nonmembers, guests, and exhibitors, as well as to members of the print, online or broadcast media. (See also Media Policy.)
Media representatives are cordially invited to attend the Annual Meeting. Registration and applications for a media pass are required. Click on the link above to access SETAC's full Media Policy and to apply for a media pass.
Photographs will be taken at the annual meeting by a professional photographer contracted by SETAC. By registering for this meeting, you agree to allow SETAC to use your photo in any SETAC-related publication or website.
If you are a platform presenter, you must upload your PowerPoint presentation either 1) before you arrive at the meeting or 2) at the Presentation Services booth on-site by 16:00 on the day prior to your session.
If you cannot attend the meeting or if you must withdraw your presentation, you must contact the SETAC office: email@example.com. If you cancel without reason or are a no-show, you may not be allowed to present at the next meeting.
